Overview

Qatar Museums’ internship programme integrates knowledge and theory that students have acquired in the classroom with practical application and skills development in the professional settings of our museums, support departments and cultural and heritage sites.

Our internships also provide career exploration and development opportunities, a chance to learn new skills by participating in challenging projects, tasks and assignments and the opportunities to receive professional supervision and mentoring.

When are internships offered and how do I apply?

We list new internship opportunities each spring and fall. Check the internship programme page in March for spring and August for information about available internships and how to apply.

What our interns are saying:

"The past few months have been a journey of discovery, growth, and learning that has left a lasting impact on both my personal and professional development. Qatar Museums provided a welcoming and inspiring environment. From the first day the journey was filled with excitement and anticipation, and I was introduced to a team of passionate professionals who were dedicated to showcasing the richness of information for the public art department. As an intern, I felt like a valued member of the team."

—Public Art Intern, Fall 2023

"My internship at Qatar Museums was a profoundly enriching and educational experience, particularly in the realms of social media and asset management. The experience was not only professionally rewarding but also personally fulfilling, as it deepened my appreciation for photography and the power of social media in the modern world."

—Photography Festival Intern, Fall 2023
