Step inside the artistic journeys of three alumni whose works are on view in this exhibition celebrating the flourishing art scene in Qatar.
Featuring works by 35 artists who took part in the Fire Station: Artist in Residence programme between 2015 and 2020, Majaz: Contemporary Art Qatar showcases works that represent majaz, or metaphors, for the artists’ journeys.
Introduced by Associate Curator Amal Ali, this video highlights three artists from each of the themes of the exhibition: narrative, spaces and places, and characters. Join Maryam Faraj Al Suwaidi, Sebastián Betancur-Montoya and Hassan Manasrah as they tell their artistic stories, in their own words.
